Here’s a little clip from MMPfilms showing what Thomas Harstad, Christian Halland and their photographer IJ experienced when they where filming at mt.rose a couple of days ago. Take it as a lesson and be always aware of the consequences when hitting the backcountry! Fortunately nothing happened to the guys and they could enjoy the rest of their trip. That’s it for today, respect mother nature and stay safe!

demoniumlogo.jpgHead out to Switzerland for some of the best snowboard summer camps in Europe!

Super active on the scene are the Demonium Masta camps providing summer camps from late June until early August in Saas Fee and Les 2 Alpes (France). Each week-long package is around 600 euro, which includes coaching, full board ludging and a skipass for six days.
Also don’t forget about the Iceripper camps which have been going on since years and offer top facilities and coaching on the famous Titlis glacier!

btnsnow.jpgSpending a summer in Norway is a dream come true for a lot of dudes.
Make it happen and bring together two of the best things in life: beautiful girls and snowboarding?!

Check out the Snowboard Summer Camp in Stryn, from the 18th to 22nd of June 2007, and in Folgefonna where Nixon presents the 12th season of snowboard summer camps to be held there.

This year, camps will be better than ever with more activities, more pro riders, more suprises but keeping the same laid back attitude that makes this the camp with soul…

btzlogo.jpgAfter CHILLing last year, H8 productions and the Advita crew have been working hard on their new video which will be out in fall 07. Due to lack of snow in Europe, the guys had to travel a lot to find the right spots to express their styles. So this film will be about all their adventures, good and bad.

Check out their first teaser and head to their website for more videos, rider presentations and goodies.

As they say on their website “Focus is a raw and aggresive look into the lives of snowboarders trying to make a career out of something they love so much. Let us take you on an artistic journey into the lives of a few individuals and their circle of friends who are all on different paths but are all connected by snowboarding. This film will document a winter of their triumphs and failures and why they put so much blood, sweat and years into this winter passion. People, who struggle through many things in life just so they can snowboard. People with everything to lose and possibly nothing to gain: people brought together by one focus – snowboarding.”

Watch their teaser:

The Isenseven crew is working hard on their up-coming movie “Übermovie“. In 2 weeks people who live close to Munich will have the chance to see it before everyone else at the Pleasure Season’s End Party at the Badeanstalt, 12th of May.

However today it’s time for a new monthly clip: IDIOTS part 2.
It’s the sequel to last year’s popular “Idiots” clip that you can download now at www.isenseven.de!

We painted ourselves some holes to fall inside.
2 minutes packed with cheerfulness, foolishness and idiocy.
Our misfortune shall be your joy!

Stomp It3 month since we first posted about Stomp It, 3 month of hard labour for this British crew… But now Slappy Hour is finally out! And it’s loaded with 20mn of what snowboarding in the UK is like: fridges, plastic slopes, fun, friendship… Watch the video and give them your support on www.slappyhour.co.uk

mmp_logo1.jpgThe guys at MellowMoodProductions say qon-itschi-wah!
They have edited their second podcast about their recent trip to Japan.

So get comfortable and join Thomas Harstad, Stefan Maurer, Sanchez and Vinzenz Lüps on their journey. Figure out what it’s about to be stuck at airports, eat some of the best food in the world or ride the infamous japanese-pow-pillows.

Of course it’s just a little taste and tease, more to come in their new movie appearing fall 2007. Arigato!

nicopopcorn.jpgIn his inimitable smooth style, under glorious spring weather, Nicolas Mueller (SUI) claimed the first-ever Slopestyle title of TTR THREE(3)STAR Snickers Classic & Popcorn Wallride, held at Saas-Fee, Switzerland, 19th-22nd April, 2007.

The last major professional event on the Ticket To Ride (TTR) World Snowboard Tour 06/07, the Snickers Classic & Popcorn Wallride delivered a perfect and worthy ending to the snowboard season. As bikini-clad bodies bronzed in hot sun on the beach-styled Popcorn Plaza at the Saas-Fee Spielboden glacier run, riders went all-out to enjoy the super-fun Slopestyle park designed by local Swiss stars, Frederik Kalbermatten (SUI) & Marco Schwab (SUI). Starting with a cliff-drop, the course included a huge table-jump, a roller-jump, a step-up manual box and snow-box. Two qualification heats of 15 cut into a 12-man Super Final where each finalist received a share of the 10,000USD prize purse. Judges marked riders during the Slopestyle jam sessions based on overall impression through the course.

Hard-pushed to judge the striking line-up of European snowboard talent, it was Nicolas Mueller’s (SUI) creativity, fluidity and variety of tricks that set him apart from his peers. Mueller’s (SUI) stylish runs included a neat 540 off the cliff-drop, a Cab 900 Japan and snow-box jibbing – the only rider to do so.

BrOADER TV logo

If you haven’t heard about Scalp it means you haven’t been snowboarding on the same planet as us.

Scalp has been on the scene since the birth of snowboarding in Europe and has been showcasing it’s evolution year after year through his photography.
Senior photographer for Onboardmag and active with other magazines and brands, Scalp is a unique character in the industry. We were stocked sitting down with him for a beer and listening to what he had to tell us about his life, photography and snowboarding.

Kick back and press play for our latest video interview on BrOADER TV!

LongBoard Classic pic 1 There exists a species of snowboarder that is more associated with the Gods of board sports than other riders. Most of them can recall times when they were skidding down the mountains on their homemade boards. This species is difficult to find today – or maybe it’s just too modest to reveal its true identity and heritage – although it embodies the backbone of the snowboard scene.
Once a year The Longboard Classic gets them crawling out of their holes and banding together. Once a year they do what their code and common sense forbids: hundreds of them drop into a face at the same time!
After a Le Mans-style mass start at the height of 2,408m, riders will hammer their way down 1,001 metres of off-piste to the village of Stuben (1407m).
So, if you have the heart of a shredder and an old school board or a board longer than 170 cm in your garage, you should instantly register !!

Fee: Euro 45. Includes lift ticket, event shirt, lunch and beverage

BrOADER TV logoDarius was part of the crew of 4 skiers and snowboarders who travelled to Nepal this winter to try and beat the record of building the highest kicker on earth and stomping tricks.

We met with Darius and asked him about this adventure, human experience and sporting challenge.
Mountain and nature rules it” is the message from Darius! In fact the record didn’t happen because of the harsh weather conditions but it turned out to be an unbelievable experience. Check out our video interview!

ss_lift.jpgSam dropped us an email to let us know about his project, which has been going for just over a year now: SnowSphere Magazine.

It’s a new concept – a travel magazine blended with a snowboarding magazine – thereby featuring “off the beaten piste” articles about exotic ski destinations, from China to Chile, India to Iceland.

The mag is based on the fact that most people have to travel to go snowboarding, and the travelling part is just as important as the snowboarding part.

At http://www.snowbroader.eu we are totally backing this approach and hope you’ll learn a lot about snowboarding all over the world thanks to SnowSphere.

There are currently 192 different countries on planet earth. You may be surprised to hear that the snow falls on at least 90 of them, from Tanzania to Taiwan, Israel to Iran. SnowSphere explores the world through the medium of snow. Blending travel and local culture with skiing and snowboarding, we bring you inspiring, amusing and informative snow stories from the more mysterious peaks of the planet.
