The Swatch O’Neill Big Mountain Pro Freeride contest kicked off in Laax, Switzerland on thursday with a great opening party.

Big Mountain Rider of the Year Jeremy Jones, the legendary Steve Klassen and new wave freestyle-oriented riders including Switzerland’s Jonas Emery and Jules Reymond are part of the 10 days adventure which will take the riders roaming the European Alps on a search for optimum freeriding conditions from Laax to Innsbruck.

The crew started their quest with a bus trip to Verbier in the swiss region of Valais. Having being unfortunate with the riding conditions until now, the first competition day planned today promises to be exceptional as clear skies are finally forecasted.
Make sure not to miss any of the action by heading straight to Verbier and its famous Mont Fort glacier or log to the BMP website for live BrOADcast from 3pm on.
